One step closer to the implementation of the justice programme in Croatia
Following the approval of the Croation Concept Note by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Norwegian Court Admininstration (NCA) had several meetings in Croatia. At the meetings the way forward and the Norwegian contribution was discussed.
The NCA is donor programme partner in the Croatian 2014-2021 Justice Programme of Norway Grants, with the Ministry of Justice of Croatia being programme operator.
The proposed programme consists of four predefined projects; renovation of the court in Split (PDP 1), probation ( PDP 2), evaluation of judges (PDP 3), and finally court-annexed mediation (PDP 4). The NCA is appointed as project partner in PDP 1,3 and 4. The projects will involve a close cooperation between the representatives of the judiciary in Croatia and Norway.
The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs approved the so called concept note of theprogramme on 28 February 2019, which moved the programme into the programme agreement phase.
Following the approval, the NCA met with the project promoters in the premises of the Ministry of Justice on 1 February, with the aim preparing the content and budget of the projects. Several clarifications were made, including further milestones for the development of the programme with projects.
