The Supreme Court is the country's highest court and has as its main function to contribute to the resolution of matters on which the law is unclear, and has a responsibilty for the evolution of the law.
The Supreme Court is lead by the Chief Justice. In addtion, the court has 19 Justice offices, as well as a Secretary-General, a Deputy Secretary-General, two court clerks, an information officer, a legal secretariat with 20 law clerks, and 20 case handlers.
The Supreme Court is located at Høyesteretts Hus in Oslo.
