Does someone want to evict you from your home?

A landlord may have the right to evict you if you are in breach of the provisions of your rental agreement. Such provisions may, for example, relate to rent, noise/trouble and subletting.

How does the district court inform you about your case?

We will notify you about your case by using Norway Post’s Digital Signature Service or the ordinary postal service. If any of the members of your household are over the age of 18, they will also be notified.

Do you disagree with your landlord?

You can file objections about your case and you can call for a court hearing. If you have any objections, the district court will send them to your landlord and ask for a statement.

What happens if the district court decides that you should be evicted?

If the district court decides you should be evicted, we will forward your case to the execution and enforcement commissioner/police. They will notify you about when you should leave the property.
