Information capsules (cookies) and Google Analytics

To be able to develop and improve our website we use Google Analytics. This is a service for web analysis provided by Google, Inc. Google Analytics (GA). The service uses "cookies” (information capsules), which are text files that are placed in your computer. This is done in order to analyse how the users use the website. We use this information from GA to make statistics relating to which pages are used and which pages are not used as well as what a visitor is looking for on the individual page. GA can also provide other services in connection with the activity on the website and the use of the internet. Statistics are an important tool to improve the website for the users.

The information which the cookie collects about your use (including your IP address) is sent to Google and stored on the company’s servers in the US. However, we have chosen to put in a script that removes the last digits from your IP address before the information is stored by Google Analytics. This enables the analysis tool to estimate the user’s geographical location, but the address cannot be used for identification of the individual user. Any information received is, regardless, subject to Google’s guidelines for the protection of personal data.

Information capsules can be rejected and deleted

You can reject the use of information capsules on your computer by changing the settings in your reader. However, please note that if you do so, you may not be able to use the website’s functionality optimally. By using the site you accept that Google treats any information about you in the way and for the purpose described above.
