New justices to the Supreme Court
On Friday 14 June 2024, Eyvin Sivertsen and Christian Lund were appointed new justices to the Supreme Court of the Norway.
Both come from positions as presiding judges at Borgarting Court of Appeal.
Eyvin Sivertsen is 55 years old and has previsously worked with the Legislation Department of the Ministry of Justice and the Office of the Attorney General. He specialises in EU and EEA law, including state subsidies and competition law. Outside of the legal sphere, Sivertsen has also worked as an illustrator.
Christian Lund is 60 years old. He has previously practiced with the law firms of Bahr and Thommessen, and with Norsk Hydro and the Office of the Attorney General.
Sivertsen and Lund take up their positions as Supreme Court justices in the autumn of 2024.
