New Supreme Court justices
Thomas Christian Poulsen and Tonje Vang were appointed new Supreme Court justices on 22 December 2024.
Thomas Christian Poulsen is 45 years old and comes from Larvik. He has been a judge in Borgarting Court of Appeal since 2014. He has previously worked at the EFTA Court and the Supreme Court as a law clerk. He has also been the deputy head of the Financial Services Complaints Board, banking and finance.
Tonje Vang is 50 years old and comes from Salangen in Troms. She comes from the position of judge at Borgarting Court of Appeal. She has also been an in-house lawyer in Orkla, a law clerk in the Supreme Court and a deputy judge at Øvre Romerike District Court.
Poulsen and Vang are replacing Justices Hilde Indreberg and Wilhelm Matheson, who will retire in 2025.
